Let’s talk to Federico Bianchi to find out what it means to be a UX designer at Bitrock. Federico joined our team almost a year ago and today he gives us some useful insights into the role and responsibilities of his position.
Can you explain your position and skills required to excel?
My job is to design the interfaces that allow users to experience a product easily and intuitively. My goal is to ensure a harmonious and intuitive experience, not limited to a single product, but considering everything that is part of the customer experience. For these reasons, the most useful skills to fulfil my role are critical and cross-cutting thinking and empathy to better understand customer needs.
How is your relationship with colleagues?
Teamwork is a fundamental part of my work. The collaboration between different personalities and professionals, the exchange of ideas, allows us to generate optimal and creative solutions that best suit the client’s needs and the specifics of the project. I feel a great synergy with my colleagues and thanks to today’s technological tools and business environment, my team and I are able to work in a harmonious and balanced way.
What is the most significant achievement in your career?
My greatest professional satisfaction was my participation in an international fintech project, where I played an all-round role, from the analysis phase to the implementation and realization of the identified solution.
What do you like most about your job?
My work can be seen as designing an extension of the world centred on the human experience, so what I love most about my job is the ability to come up with new solutions and implement new ways of interacting with the product.
What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy week?
Anything that requires my concentration as a distraction: physical activity, talking, watching movies, playing video or board games, etc.
What’s your go-to song for boosting productivity?
All the songs by Muse.
Who is a source of inspiration or guidance for you?
Keeping up with the latest news and trends is very important in our work, so I don’t follow one person in particular, but countless sites and people who inspire me every day.
What would you recommend to someone who wants to follow a career path similar to yours?
Curiosity is the key to my field, so I would advise anyone who wants to pursue my career to put themselves out there, not be afraid to make mistakes and strive for continuous improvement.
